Is feeling good your general state of being? Or, like many of us, is it something that you occasionally dip into on a special occasion or when you have treated yourself to a massage, a pair of shoes or a maybe a new haircut? cats

If so, you are not alone with many of us living in the state of ‘I will be happy when………’ or ‘If this happens I will feel better’.

The issue in living this way is that we are cutting ourselves off from a general state of happiness and wellbeing that we all have access to right now.  Each minute of the day, each one of us has a choice to feel happy about where we currently are in life, or allow external circumstances to dictate when we will feel happy.  The fact is, you can choose happiness today, even if your life isn’t exactly working out how you would like it to be.

The benefits of choosing to be happy right now are twofold.  Not only will you feel better but you will also create energy or vibration in your body which will attract the very things you want in life to you.

Case Study:

Kirstie is a client of mine who believes that she will only find happiness when she increases the amount of money in her life.   As a result, she often feels depressed and is constantly beating the drum of ‘not having enough money’.  While Kirstie chooses to remain in this state of mind, it will also be very difficult for her to create the abundance she most desperately needs.  Why – because she can’t possibly attract it when her thoughts are focussed on the lack of it in her life! Remember, life is like a mirror and if you are focusing your thoughts on the lack of anything – you will just create more lack of anything!

However, if Kirstie chose to be happy today – regardless of her shortage of money, she would lift her energy and thoughts, therefore allowing abundance to flow to her quicker.

I acknowledge, particularly when it comes to topics such as finance, it can feel very difficult to feel happy – particularly if you have bills to pay and mounting debts.  However, I can assure you that feeling good is the quickest way to resolve any problem!

Here are a few ideas to increase your vibration and happiness in your life:

  1. Focus on what you can appreciate right now.  Ok, you may not have everything you want but try focussing on the things you do have.
  2. Make a list of 20 things which make you happy and choose one thing of the list to do each day.
  3. Instead of beating the drum of what you don’t have – repeat to yourself ‘ Everything is going to be ok, things are working out for me’
  4. Set the intent each morning to feel good, be happy and have fun.
  5. If you find yourself getting frustrated or worried, soothe yourself with encouraging words.
