Check out this recent interview with Confidence Coach Lisa Phillips by Why Time.

Where do you live?

I live in Sydney, Australia, but am originally from England, a small town called Corby which is in Northamptonshire.

How do you spend most of your time?

My work life balance is pretty good but most of my time is spent working with clients, speaking at events or running confidence and self-empowerment workshops.   I also love taking long walks and chilling out with a great book.  I have just been on my first cruise and think I am a little bit addicted!

Where is your favourite place to go to get some time to yourself?

Each morning I take a walk in the park with my coffee and escape into my own thoughts.  I am a bit of an introvert so love finding time for myself and finding solace in a good book.

What are some self-care practices you try to incorporate into your day?

I start my day building positive momentum which means focussing on good things and things that make me feel good. I also make it my main intent every day to have a good day and lots of fun.   If I find myself struggling, feeling negative or giving myself a hard time, I often stop and have a nap – thus resetting my momentum!  I do love a good nap in the afternoon!

If you could use one quote to sum up your philosophy on life at the moment, what would it be?

“Even though it may not feel like it sometimes, everything is working out for me.”

It is really all about soothing yourself into a better feeling place rather than beating yourself up or giving yourself a hard time.

Name one thing about you that people might find hard to believe?

I am a cat lover – over the years I have turned into the stereotypical cat lady! I recently rescued a cat and she is joy to have around.
