Burn those Negative Beliefs!

In this weeks blog, I wanted to share with you a fun and symbolic way to let go of some of your old mouldy negative beliefs you may be holding onto.    We are going to learn to Burn those negative beliefs!

This is a fun exercise that I have been using for many years with my Sydney Life Coach and Confidence Coach clients.

What are Negative Beliefs?

Negative beliefs are the programming we often received in our early years.  To me, it is like SPAM and it doesn’t fit who we are today.   There are simply thousands of negative beliefs. Each one of us will have different ones depending upon our background, programming and life experiences.  Here are a few commons ones:

  1. I am not good enough
  2. I am not enough
  3. I am not worthy
  4. I am less than other people
  5. Other people are better than me
  6. I don’t deserve good things
  7. Good things are out of my reach
  8. I always lack money
  9. I don’t have good relationships
  10. I don’t have confidence

Get your beliefs out of the dark and into the light.

Before we burn our negative beliefs,  take some time to write them down onto a sheet of paper.   Don’t think too hard about this.   Just sit down and ask yourself what are your negative beliefs about yourself. You may wish to identify your negative beliefs when it comes to your career, finances, relationships, friendships etc.

Burn those Negative Beliefs!

The next step is easy – it is time to burn those negative beliefs! Make sure you do this safely and take care if using a lighter or matches.    Simply burn the sheet of paper  and while it burns say to yourself ‘ I am willing to release these negative beliefs as they are not true and no longer have any power over me

Don’t be surprised if you feel a huge sense of relief when you are doing this or feel strong emotion in your body. Just allow all emotion to rise to the surface and don’t judge it.   Don’t take my word for it – try it yourself!
